Help Me ... Help You
Thanks again for listening in to
Your Shadow Advisor, a weekly
program about navigating higher
education from a first
generation person of color
perspective. I'm your host,
Professor Darrel Wanzer-Serrano.
It's been a week. So I'm back
with another brief episode about
the show. This week, I come to
you with a special call to
action. I really want this show
to be as conversational as
possible, given the format that
we're dealing with. Sure, live
streams might actually be
better. But since this is, you
know, a podcast, how can I make
this conversational? For
starters, I'll be engaging
guests on the show, hopefully,
at least once a month, I began
lining up proper interview
segments where I'll be chatting
with folks about their
experiences with our subject
matter from across different
academic disciplines. So if
you're hearing this and would
like to do an episode with me,
reach out to me by email (link
in the show notes), and we can
look into setting something up.
Beyond that I really want a lot
of the episodes to be audience
driven. So here's my real ask to
you. Please send me your
questions and let me know what
you want to hear about on the
show. There are three main ways
you can do that. First, feel
free to hit me up on social
media and let me know what
topics you're hoping to hear
about. Twitter is probably the
best platform to reach out on
for this. So head on over to
Elon's bird site if that's your
thing. Second, you can send an
email to
questions@yourshadowadvisor.com
where you can submit a fully
formulated inquiry, or just a
list of topics you hope I'll
address. Finally, you can go to
the podcast website to record a
question that I might air on the
show. Links for doing all of
those things are in the episode
show notes. So that's my ask,
help me address the topics you
want most to hear about. That
said the first official Episode
will air on August 24. Until
then, please please, please
subscribe to the podcast on
Apple podcasts, Spotify, or
whatever app you use. And if
you're feeling up to it, share
this with your friends, and give
me five stars on Apple. Thanks
again for listening in. I'll be
back with another quick message
next week.
